COEIT Staff Advisors work with students in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering as well as Information Systems and Business Technology Administration freshmen. We also assist Computer Science minors and students interested in our majors. If you want to meet with an advisor, please contact us in the following ways.
All COEIT students are assigned a staff advisor at the beginning of each Fall or Spring semester.
Students can access the name of their assigned advisor on their myUMBC Profile, and should schedule appointments with their assigned advisor.
If you are a continuing student who does not have an advisor listed in their profile, or have “COEIT Professional Advisors” listed, please contact the following for advising assistance:
- All freshmen regardless of COEIT Major and all Engineering and Computer Science majors and pre majors can email coeitadvising@umbc.edu or schedule an appointment with one of the COEIT Advisors at the link below.
- All IS and BTA students, other than freshmen who started during the most recent Summer, Fall, or Spring semester, should reach out to the Professor Glazer, the IS Advising Coordinator, at dgorin1@umbc.edu
Students new to COEIT, those considering changing to a COEIT major, or incoming students who have attended orientation can email coeitadvising@umbc.edu or schedule an appointment with any COEIT advisor at the link below.
