The Computing & Engineering Transfer Institute (CETI) is a hybrid summer program that has been specifically designed for incoming transfer students in the College of Engineering and Information Technology (COEIT). CETI facilitates the transition of transfer students to the College of Engineering and Information Technology and UMBC. Students will attend applied learning workshops, as well as social events, which will provide students with a chance to get to know COEIT faculty and their peers, jumpstart their educational journey, and cultivate a sense of belonging at UMBC.

Admitted as a transfer student entering Fall 2025
Pursuing major in COEIT
Time Commitment
Approximately 10 hours per week. – Most workshops will be held synchronously between 10am and 3pm Monday through Friday and recorded for asynchronous participation later. A detailed schedule of the program will be released in July.
