COEIT Staff will monitor email messages 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Questions and requests will be routed to the appropriate staff member for response.
Fall 2022 Advising
General Advising
Advisors are excited to welcome the UMBC community back to campus! Advisors are available for both online and in person advising. We are practicing social distancing, mask wearing, and other mitigation strategies at this time. All students must make an appointment to see an advisor. Advisors can be reached by email at coeitadvising@umbc.edu. We are looking forward to working with you this semester.

SPRING REGISTRATION CLEARANCE
- Spring Registration Clearance will begin in October. All students who have passed their gateway and are being assigned a faculty advisor should be assigned by October 1st. Please check back for more information in late September.
INCOMING STUDENTS:
- All incoming students (freshmen and transfer) should sign up for orientation. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and register for classes as part of orientation. You cannot register for classes prior to this date. Incoming students should email an advisor prior to setting up an online appointment.
