John B. Schwartz Scholarship

In 2002 the Information Systems Department created an award for undergraduate Information Systems or Business Technology Administration majors who displayed outstanding scholarship and service to the university. The award was named after John B. Schwartz. John was the first Undergraduate Program Director in the IS Department and was with the department from 1982 until he retired in 2003. Every day John exhibited intelligence, good humor and a genuine sense of caring for the education of our students.

A stipend is awarded to a senior student the semester prior to their graduation who best exhibits the characteristics Mr. Schwartz promoted.

Students may apply for this scholarship via the common scholarship application.
